About Chuck Cappers

A chuck capper is a type of bottle capping machine that is comprised of a capping motor, clutch and capping chuck.  The capping motor generates the torque required to tighten a screw-on cap onto a container. The clutch controls the amount of torque applied to the cap. The bottle capping chuck enables the capping motor to grip the cap. The capping motor, clutch, and chuck work in tandem to consistently transfer the torque from the capping motor directly to the cap.

The most common types of chuck cappers are hand held chuck cappers, semi-automatic chuck capping machines, and automatic chuck capping machines.  Information, pictures, and videos of each type are included on this page.

Hand Held
Chuck Capper

An excellent choice for small to medium production runs, or companies that are currently tightening caps by hand.  They reduce the amount of strain and fatigue associated with hand capping.  They also provide torque accuracy and consistency, which are typically unattainable when hand capping.
